Mr. Avi Shulman
Avi Shulman has a keen ear that hears nuances and a wise eye that foresees consequences, pleasant and otherwise. He understands and loves people and he views life through the prism of Torah values. In his long career as a teacher, writer, lecturer, and consultant, he has brought new and constructive slants on life to many hundreds of people. Many a successful professional credits an Avi Shulman seminar as a turning point in his life. Countless parents and teachers agree that his techniques, insights, guidance, and anecdotes have shed new light on the dilemmas that seemed unsolvable. How many “problem” children have thrived thanks to the inimitable Avi Shulman influence on the adults in their lives? We will never know, but the numbers are huge.
Mr. Avi Shulman has been a classroom teacher for over 25 years, wrote a newsletter entitled "Workshops-In-Print," produced audio-visual materials used by schools worldwide, founded and directed Torah Umesorah's S.E.E.D. program (an outreach program to communities) and headed the Torah Umesorah Baltimore Aish Dos Teacher Training Program.
He has authored "Lifelines," "Time is Life," "How to Teach and Enjoy the Primary Grades," "Criticizing Children," "Candlelight," and cassette albums on parenting, teaching, and personal growth.
Mr. Shulman believes that everyone - especially parents and teachers - has the opportunity to inspire all with whom they come in contact. His books, cassettes, lectures and workshops strive to teach the effectiveness of non-intimidating, nurturing, positive approach to personal growth.
